Whew! Things have been flying fast and furiously in Bean Up The Nose Art's world these past weeks.
First, thanks to all the friends and neighbors who came out last weekend to the second annual Art Supply Garage Sale . . . where one could scoop up a good stash of gently-used supplies for cheap, and could find all the Beans -- including freshly-produced ribboned hanging tags:
And, though there unfortunately is no corresponding photo (who was in charge of THAT?!?!), everyone should check out the amazing hand-painted tennis shoes (made by daughter-of-the-decade Meryl Phillips), which also graced the day. Her on-line shop is Meryl Munches Macaroni. (Note that both mother and daughter have food-related business names. We have our priorities!)
Thanks also to all the Fairfax-ian folk who made it to the August and June "Under The Sun Flea Markets" at Beach House Style. Here's the Bean Up The Nose Art booth:
And here's more of the Beach House Style grounds:
We LOVE the gals at Beach House Style. They've got it going on! These are some super-duper chix whose breezy and fun way of putting things together makes each day -- even a rainy one -- feel sunny and full of possibilities. Also, they're kind and generous to vendors. Whoot-whoot!!
July included a trip to Bean Up The Nose Art's second home: Whidbey Island, Washington. Greenbank Farm hosted its annual Loganberry Festival . . . and our art work graced the poster advertising this fete (and there were t-shirts, too -- oh my!!!!!):
Book-ending the trip to Whidbey were two terrific ART DAYS, hosted by none other than the fabulous Beach House Style. Bean Up The Nose Art supplied the materials and lessons to friends who made luggage tags one Saturday afternoon, and memo pad cubes on another Sunday. And we shared adult beverages and tasty finger food amidst the sun, ink, rubber stamps and ephemera:
It was like kindergarten for grown-ups . . . totally fun.
Thanks to everyone who made each of these events a treat!
