You'll find this cool place (which -- as its name perfectly conveys -- blends gifts and coffee) at 5891 Broadway Terrace in Oakland, CA.  It's a great destination in this large residential area, sitting together with an upscale grocery store, an independent gas station, and Broadway Terrace Nursery.   

Patio seating to eat outside on sunny days -- and bring your dog!  

Go on inside to find a very, very happy place.

Owned by Helen B. for 11 years, this joyful establishment blends fashion, home and garden items in a sunny, friendly space.  

Helen loves her customers, most of whom are from the neighborhood.  She redoes the shop space EACH WEEK to bring in fresh, new looks!

Including Bean Up The Nose Art luggage tags.  YAY!!!

Spring is springing.

And then, there's the coffee part.  You know how we love coffee.    And they make a great latte here.  With great tables to sit at and do your work.  The afternoon we visited, professors were grading essays; folks were writing in their journals; others were reading books and newspapers.  It is a real community place.  WITH WIFI!!  And panini-style lunches.  And breakfast dishes.  And desserts.    Yum, yum, yum.
