I am grateful for humor.
If not for humor (and a glass of wine), I would be an even bigger crankypants than I am. And believe me, my capacity for crankypantsedness is infinite.
Thank you, humor. Thank you, Jackass 1, 2 and 3. Thank you, Groundhog Day and There's Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Thank you Seinfeld and Modern Family and even America's Funniest Home Videos. Thank you Meryl for the times we laugh so hard at the frustrations inherent in life that we cannot even breathe. Bless you, all things that make us laugh, especially in recognition of our own foibles. (Not that I have any, of course.)
